Winter is coming...
So, I know that Fall is a beautiful season, but it is always the beginning of more pain for me. I am affected by cold very severely. I ache when I wake up in the mornings. And living in Iowa, it is extremely cold--and something that I dread. This is why I have come up with some ways of dealing with it. Doctors have always told me to take hot showers or baths--that it will help me with my pain. Honestly, I've never found that to be helpful. I think it's great if you do, but for me, I find that an electric blanket helps soothe my pain more than hot water. I've also been told by doctors that exercising 20 to 30 minutes a day will help give me some relief. That is very difficult to accomplish when you are hurting and hating life. I have found though, that if I am able to walk my dog, even if it's only for a few blocks, I am able to feel better. It might not help my physical pain, but it does significantly improve my mood.
